Today, by chance, I listened to a 11+ years old song: “Dancing in the Dark”, by Bruce Springsteen. That got me thinking about what happened to me, during the last 11 years: I’ve been doing nothing, but dancing in the dark.
Few events were “deep” enough to resist the decade: the move out of my parents’ home (1999), my father’s death (2003) and my first child, who will be born this June (2006), are the ones that pop and fulfill my mind.
Of course that during the last decade, I made new GREAT friends, lived remarkable experiences [for my petite scale] and learned a LOT – mostly on “the meaning of life” and not so much on academic terms – still, such people, events and experiences aren’t organized in my brain, like “huge landmarks”. And that is good, because landmarks tend to be “definitive”/”inflexible”…

This post is linked to a 30 seconds MP3 audio clip from Bruce’s “Dancing in the Dark“, just to set the right mood :|

Please note that I do not intend to violate Bruce’s or anyone else’s copyrights, so if you think that this 30 seconds clip is not a contained “fair use” of his music, just contact me and I’ll remove it at once. Thank you.
